Introduction :
This study recruited a sample of 40 nurses using convenience sampling, representing approximately 2% of the total inpatient beds at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Ward supervisors, part-time nurses, and enrolled nurses (EN) were excluded from this study due to their managerial responsibilities and insufficient familiarity with invasive mechanical ventilators. The study was conducted with a population of 40 registered nurses, all of whom consented to participate. Participants were mandated to sign a written consent form to indicate their agreement and to get information via the computerized platform for operating the ventilator. Questionnaires were gathered prior to the implementation of the electronic platform. A face-to-face training session was conducted for the recruited nurses on the proper utilization of the electronic platform via the iPad supplied by the Hospital Authority two weeks prior to the intervention period.
