Introduction :
To facilitate social inclusion and recovery for individuals with mental health conditions to all staff and clients, focusing on their right to participate fully in society without discrimination, stigma, or exclusion. It involves a recovery-oriented approach to mental health In, Day and Out services in Psychiatric Rehab, emphasizing social outcomes and community participation to foster a sense of purpose and belonging. It is also collaborated with Art in Hospital and Hong Kong Art Development Council to support our projects.
Objectives :
1. To strengthening community connection: It encourages active integration into the community, fostering social support and a sense of belonging. 2. To encourage therapeutic relationships: Emphasizes trust, respect, and hope-filled relationships between professionals and individuals with lived experience. 3. To be sense of belonging: Inclusion cultivates an environment where individuals feel accepted and valued for their unique selves, regardless of their differences. 4. To respect and value: It means recognizing and respecting diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, seeing them as strengths rather than weaknesses.
Methodology :
1. The task force included members from staff of In, Day and Out services in Psychiatric Rehab, and staff of Art in Hospital is set up in February, 2025. 2. Consistent meeting via WhatsApp group among members are conducted. 3. The art workshops conduct in Sep 2025 to Nov 2025. 4. Collect evaluation sheet after workshop. 5. The artworks will display in WW_MB link bridge, art exhibition in Shine Recovery Center and Kowloon Hospital celebrate 100th anniversary in Dec 2025. 6. QR code for virtual tour for In-patient or someone else who can not walk in to art exhibition.
Result & Outcome :
Through the creative process of art-making to improve physical, mental, and emotional well being for individuals with various mental health challenges. They are encouraged to express their thoughts and feeling by verbal and non-verbal expressions. Those artworks will display in art exhibition in Shine Recovery Center and Kowloon Hospital celebrate 100th anniversary in Dec 2025 Evaluation feedback were attached.
