Introduction :
Continuous professional development through structured training is fundamental to ensuring optimal nursing care delivery. Historically, training initiatives within the Surgery Department were conducted independently by various specialists and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) leaders. This decentralized approach resulted in pedagogical redundancy and potential inconsistencies in educational content delivery. In 2025, a comprehensive restructuring of the departmental training framework was undertaken to establish a coordinated and systematically scheduled training program. This reorganization eliminated content duplication and enhanced educational efficiency. The revised curriculum incorporated novel components, including simulation-based training specifically designed for newly recruited nursing staff, thereby strengthening competency development and facilitating effective clinical transition for novice practitioners.
Objectives :
