A total of 214 junior nurses attended the new education program on PI prevention from Sept 2024. They are predominantly female nurses, 76.2% (163 nurses), and male nurses, 23.8% (51 nurses). The participants mean age was 23.7 years (SD = 1.02). According to graduation year, mean 1.94 year (SD 0.78). Comparison (1) between pre-test and immediate post-test after the program and (2) between pre-test and the 4th week after the program with a significant difference and the p-value < 0.001. These results suggest that the effectiveness of the education program was strong and sustained over time. However, comparison between the Immediate post-test and the 4th week after the program showed no significant difference with a p-value of 0.439. Conclusion A well-established education program including lectures and simulation workshop for junior nurses are enhanced knowledge and skill to prevent PI, it may reduce the incidence of HAPI and enhance patient safety and quality in the hospital.
