Introduction: :
Effective communication is pivotal for nursing teams in today’s changing healthcare environment. To strengthen team cohesion, morale and retention, "NurseVibes: 您好,我係" series was established as a strategic communication platform within Princess Margret Hospital (PMH) and North Lantau Hospital (NLTH). Designed to bridge the gap between management, frontline staff and new joiner, this initiative fosters a relaxed, interactive environment for open and two-way communication. By stepping beyond traditional reporting structure, it connects diverse nursing groups, encouraging exchange of ideas and experiences.
Objectives: :
1.To enhance communication by sharing nursing updates, initiatives and strategies goals across all levels of nurses 2.To foster feedback by creating a supportive atmosphere for nurses to voice concerns, suggestions, and ideas 3.To promote team building and nurture a sense of belonging within the nursing community
4.To boost staff engagement and morale by demonstrating that management values nurses’ perspectives
Methodology: :
The program was executed through four one-hour chit-chat episodes held throughout 2025. Designed with a relaxed vibe to facilitate open dialogue, the episodes were thematically curated:
•Episode 1: Focused on leadership and heritage, featuring insights from the current and former KWC CGM(N).
•Episode 2: Emphasized the "High Tech, High Touch" vision, showcasing workflow redesigns by the Smart Hospital Team and Department Nursing Informatic Coordinators.
•Episode 3: Celebrated local talent through the SPRING Graduation Ceremony, utilizing symbolic activities to foster morale.
•Episode 4: Explored global talent integration and collaboration in fostering a supportive nursing environment.
Post-event evaluations used a 5-point Likert scale and open-ended feedback to assess program effectiveness and staff engagement.
Result & Outcome: :
The series successfully engaged over 800 PMH and NLTH nursing staff. Quantitative evaluations revealed high satisfaction, with an average score of 4.62/5 for creating a friendly atmosphere and 4.6/5 for enhancing two-way communication. The likelihood of recommending the event to colleagues was strong at 4.6/5. These results highlight that staff highly value such interactive opportunities. Building on the success of "NurseVibes 您好,我係", our primary objective moving forward is to sustain this momentum. Future initiatives will focus on establishing a constructive and two-way communication platform, further reinforcing a unified, supportive nursing culture.
